In our fourth Ask the Experts webinar, we brought together leading specialists to discuss the economy and a question many people are asking – what will Australia look like in 2021 and beyond.

Hosted by mental health advocate and storyteller Brad McEwan, our experienced panel of experts included Economist Beatrice Yeo, from Vanguard Strategy Investment Group, Futurist Tomas Haffenden from VERSA Agency and our own Senior Advisor Dan Testa. 

Our panellists talked about the future of the economy in Australia in 2021 and beyond, states and industries opening up, the end of Job Keeper and how the economy will react, along with fascinating tech insights and key trends relating to human behaviour, algorithmic commerce and interactive voice response.

In her role as Economist, Beatrice serves on the Global Economics team in Australia, and is responsibility for contributing to Vanguard’s global thought leadership through research on markets, the economy and investment strategies. She previously held the role of investment strategist focussing on creating multi-asset solutions for the firms’ business. Vanguard is one of the largest and most respected money managers in the world.  

Tomas is a Futurist at VERSA Agency, Australia’s leading Conversational AI consultancy. He is a strategist, thought leader, author and tenacious problem solver responsible for working with clients to identify and plan their long-term digital roadmap with a focus on conversational AI and emerging technologies. 

Daniel brings a holistic approach to financial advice, combining his extensive experience within the banking and financial planning sector with a strong empathy for people and making the world a better place, shown by his tireless support of mental health initiatives. It’s this grounded perspective which has established Daniel as a sort-after senior financial adviser and leading figure within the industry.
